Stress Test
The stress test or ergometry is a study that allows the diagnosis of coronary artery disease that normally does not manifest itself when the patient is at rest. Performing a controlled exercise using a treadmill or a stationary bicycle monitored with an electrocardiogram, the response of the heart is observed. It is important for the detection of angina pectoris in patients with non-manifest pathology and in athletes subjected to intense efforts.
The stress test consists of subjecting the patient to a maximum possible effort to reach their maximum level of resistance and through electrodes that are placed in the chest area, the electrical activity of the heart will be recorded during the test.
