Bronchodilation Tests
It consists of measuring the changes that occur in a functional parameter after the administration of a bronchodilator substance by inhalation. The bronchodilation test (BDT) is a fundamental tool for the study of lung function. The increase in the maximum expiratory volume in the first second (FEV1) can be expressed as an absolute value in milliliters or as a percentage of improvement with respect to the theoretical value or the previous (baseline) value.
